Full Training Programmes
The easiest way of ensuring that ECTs receive required ECF training
during induction is to use a Full training programme...
The DfE has appointed six Lead Providers to produce Full training programmes and work in partnership, primarily through Teaching School Hubs, Local Authorities and Appropriate Bodies, to facilitate and deliver this aspect of ECT induction.
A Full training programme is fully funded by the DfE, meaning it is free to all ECTs, Mentors and schools
Induction Mentors will receive training from the Lead Provider on how to support their ECT through their induction
Schools will not have to spend time planning and delivering training, freeing staff to concentrate on other things, nor will their training programme be subject to Quality Assurance checks.
Please note that ECF training is an additional element of ECT induction, to be run alongside - and not replacing - the traditional support and assessment element of induction.
